This simple detoxification diet plan consists of herbs, fresh vegetables, fruits, beans, rice, nuts , seeds, fish and water and usually last around seven days.

When starting a detoxification diet plan you should gradually get into the diet plan, don't just give up all the things you are accustom eating. In other words don't send your system into shock.

Also you should avoid detoxification diet plans that are very restrictive, those that require you to drink only liquids such as fruit juices and water every "x" number of hours.

This type of detoxification diet plan is too restrictive and may cause you to get headaches and feel nausea because of the lack of nutrition that your body is craving.

Many people are against detoxification diets as they believe the body is quite capable of detoxifying itself without the help of a detoxification diet.

Plus some might even argue that there is no real proof that a detoxification diet really does any good.

Here is some food for thought for those coffee lovers out there, before you even begin to think about trying a detoxification diet, then believe me a detoxification diet is not for you, because of all the detoxification diet plans that I have seen none of them included the drinking of coffee.

Be warned because I am sure you don't want to end up having a caffeine withdrawal fit, or worse.
